Environmental Compliance Upgrades

Regulatory agencies periodically require that fueling systems be upgraded to ensure proper operation and to maintain compliance with evolving regulatory requirements pertaining to USTs. Examples of compliance upgrades include:

  • Enhanced Vapor Recovery (EVR) Retrofit of Service Stations
  • California SB989 - Secondary Containment Upgrades
  • California AB2481 - UST Installations Procedures

Our experience in completing these upgrade activities is extensive. For example, WPI was contracted by several major oil companies to complete the upgrades necessary to comply with the 1998 EPA mandated requirements. WPI completed over 400 station upgrades of UST systems to ensure that they were equipped with ongoing leak detection and were corrosion resistant with spill and overflow prevention devices. During this work, WPI created and patented an innovative solution for compliance that became the standard approved by local regulatory agencies.
