Remedial Investigation/Feasibility Studies

The purpose of Remedial Investigation/Feasibility Studies is to gather information necessary to provide an evaluation of remedial alternatives for a site. WPI’s wide ranging experience with remedial alternatives has resulted in an ability to focus these investigations so that a number of objectives can be accomplished. These typically include refining information regarding the vertical and/or lateral distribution of contaminants; furthering understanding of local soil stratigraphy and hydrogeology; sample collection to assess soil physical characteristics at specific depth, and sampling to evaluate water quality chemistry (i.e., the concentrations of naturally occurring substances in groundwater as well as groundwater properties such as total dissolved solids). Because of this, Feasibility Studies provided by WPI are meaningful in that reliable site specific information is developed that allows the most efficient and cost effective remedial method to be determined.
